Tony Eduardo Hoerhann has been a dedicated firearms instructor since 1995 and a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt since 2004. Coming from a lineage spanning 20 generations in weapons training, Tony brings a unique blend of expertise and tradition to his instruction.
Over the years, Tony has trained elite law enforcement and military units across the United States, specializing in both armed and unarmed combat techniques. As an accomplished athlete,
Tony has earned multiple titles in competitive shooting and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, further solidifying his reputation as a leader in both disciplines.

 

Currently, Tony holds the following positions:

  • Master Instructor of Shooting and Defensive Tactics / Combatives at .38 America.
  • Defensive Tactics Senior Consultant and Instructor at Complete Tactical Consultants Inc.

Justin Morris brings over 20 years of experience as a firearms instructor and a wealth of expertise in tactical operations. During his law enforcement career, he served as the Team Leader for the Special Emergency Response Team (SERT) at the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office in Kansas.

Today, Justin focuses on curriculum development and teaching for SWAT schools, advanced firearms courses, and specialized equipment training. His work supports both agencies and civilians across the United States, ensuring they receive cutting-edge instruction tailored to their needs.

 

In addition to his professional achievements, Justin is a dedicated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner under Royce Gracie and an enthusiastic competitor in practical shooting disciplines. His commitment to continuous improvement and technical excellence makes him a cornerstone of the .38 America instructor cadre.

K.M. is a member of the U.S. Special Operations Forces and currently serves as an SOF Consultant and Advisor for .38 America. With decades of operational experience, he is a recognized expert in Close Quarters Combat (CQC) curriculum development and a specialist in Executive Protection, encompassing:

  • Threat Assessment and Mitigation
  • Advanced Reconnaissance and Site Security
  • Personal Protection and Escort Services
  • Surveillance Detection and Countermeasures
  • Emergency Response and Contingency Planning

K.M. was instrumental in the development of the modern combatives program used by the U.S. Navy SEAL Teams, setting a new standard for tactical and operational effectiveness.

A Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, K.M. has dedicated his life to mastering martial arts and passing on his knowledge to some of the best professionals in the world. His commitment to excellence and his unparalleled expertise make him a vital part of the .38 America team.

Troy Fullbright brings over 20 years of law enforcement experience, with the majority of his career dedicated to serving on multiple tactical units in Oklahoma. Currently, he serves as a full-time instructor for a large metropolitan police agency and holds the position of Team Leader for the largest multi-jurisdictional SWAT team in the state.

In his earlier career, Troy was a highly accomplished competitor, achieving Master Class rankings in PPC, IDPA, and USPSA. He has won several state and national titles but has since shifted his focus to advancing his teaching abilities and mentoring others.

Chris Brammer is an elite marksman and instructor, having graduated from the prestigious U.S. Army Sniper School and other advanced programs such as the State Department’s WPS DDM Course, Accuracy First Long-Range Advanced Course, and the Max Ordinance Advanced Police Sniper Course. He has also competed in international sniper competitions, showcasing his exceptional skills on the global stage.

Chris’s curriculum development draws from his extensive experience as both a sniper and combat leader during deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. Additionally, he served as an Emergency Response Team Sniper in high-threat environments, including the defense of the U.S. Consulate in Basra, Iraq.

His expertise in long-range precision, combined with real-world operational insights, makes Chris an integral part of .38 America’s training team, ensuring students receive instruction grounded in excellence and proven tactics.

Yves Sousa serves as the Senior Instructor and Chief Operating Officer at .38 International. A passionate shooter, firearms enthusiast, and collector for over 20 years, Yves brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the .38 America team.

Yves has been training with .38 since 2003 and has earned certifications from multiple prestigious training institutions across the United States. Beyond his expertise in firearms, Yves is a successful entrepreneur, managing several businesses globally.

 

As an athlete, Yves actively competes in USPSA, practices Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and continuously hones his skills in both disciplines. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Business from Pepperdine University, reflecting his commitment to excellence both in and outside the range.

Yves’ blend of technical expertise, competitive spirit, and leadership make him an invaluable member of the .38 America team.

Ryan Jensen has been immersed in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) for over 25 years, beginning his journey as a teenager and competing at the highest levels of the sport. His professional career includes fights in the UFC, Strikeforce, Bellator, VFC, and Sport Fight, among others. A Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, Ryan has demonstrated both technical mastery and a passion for the art.

In addition to competing, Ryan is a dedicated coach and mentor. As the owner and Director of Premier Combat Center, one of the Midwest’s leading combat gyms, he has trained some of the top talent in MMA today. Beyond the sport, Ryan has spent over 15 years training local and federal law enforcement agents in defensive tactics, focusing on practical and effective techniques for real-world applications.

Currently, Ryan serves as a Master Combatives Instructor at .38 America, as well as Founder and Director of Complete Tactical Consultants, where his expertise in coaching and training continues to impact students and professionals alike.

Jake Engelen is a former Marine Infantry Machine Gunner with combat deployments to Afghanistan. As a Squad Leader, Jake gained extensive experience in private security detail, working directly with his battalion commander and other high-ranking officials in high-pressure, dynamic environments.

For the past seven years, Jake has been an integral part of the .38 America instructor team, teaching a variety of disciplines in both Brazil and the United States. His expertise in firearms instruction is complemented by his dedication to martial arts, showcasing a well-rounded approach to training.

Jake also holds a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics, reflecting his analytical mindset and precision, both on and off the range. His diverse skill set and commitment to excellence make him a vital asset to the .38 America team.
